St. Matthew's Youth Group, led by our youth ministers, Kevin and Sonja
Kaiser, meets every Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:30 in the youth group room.
This group is open to all students in grades 6-12. They meet together in the
youth room for part of the meeting, and separate into middle and high school
groups for discussion and prayer.
Wow! What a Christmas Season! It was a true blessing for the Youth Group and
the Parish to be involved in Christmas at Faith Homes. We were able to provide
presents to 32 teenagers and 20 children who each received at least two
presents. The participation of the parish in this huge ministry was awesome! The
St. Matthew Youth Group looks forward to working with Faith Homes on projects in
the future and will keep you all posted on the comings and goings.

The St. Matthew youth group spent over 3 hours wrapping Christmas gifts they
gathered for the Faith Homes residents. From L to R, Sonja, John, Deana, Mejan,

Chest filled with gifts for Faith Homes. They were getting ready to wrap the
gifts the Youth Group had collected.
The event was a success! The St. Matthew Youth Group fed approximately 60
hungry Habitat for Humanity volunteers. The group also was able to walk through
the job site and see the different phases of construction as well as have
Building 101 explained to them by their Youth Leader - which I am sure bored
them to death.
The St. Matthew Youth Group wished to express much gratitude to all of those
that baked cookies and helped pack the lunches. Special Thanks goes out to
Ginny Peterson for the incredible soup that was a huge hit. God Bless

The baseball game was a youth event to raise money for the youth fund and
bring the congregation together with the youth. Everyone had a great time!
We’re looking to have an annual tailgate party in the future. We would like
to thank everyone who participated and contributed to this youth and church
event. Coming together makes anything possible.
